Midland Credit Management, Inc.; and Encore Capital Group, Inc., Case No. 37-2011-00088752-CY-BT-CTL, San Diego Superior Court (Judge Joel R. Wohlfeil), alleging claims for the illegal recording of telephone calls without consent in violation of the privacy laws of California, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington, for the benefit of approximately 1,675,821 Class members in the form of monetary benefits worth over $24 million and additional privacy protections.
