Mr. Keegan recently obtained final approval of a class action settlement in the case entitled Johansson-Dohrmann, et al. v. CBR Systems, Inc., et al., Case No. 12-cv-01115-MMA-BGS, Southern District of California (Judge Michael M. Anello), alleging claims for the theft of personal and medical data information in violation of the Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (Civil Code § 56, et seq.), Invasion of Privacy, Civil Code § 1798.80, et seq., Breach of Contract, and Business & Professions Code § 17200, et seq., for the benefit of approximately 286,494 consumers in the form of credit monitoring, reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses, and identity theft reimbursement valued at over $113 million and additional privacy protections.
